District Fringe

District Fringe will occur between July 11 and July 27, 2025.

• Performances will occur weekday evenings, and weekends.

• All applications must be received by 11:59pm (EST) April 7, 2025 to be considered.

• Please submit the $25 application fee here. No applications will be considered if the fee has not been paid. This is a non-refundable application fee.

• Applications will be reviewed by our jury panel, and all applicants will be notified via email by May 1, 2025, informing them if they are selected to present in the 2025 District Fringe Festival.

• If selected, applicants will be asked to pay a $400 registration fee to assist in festival operations and marketing.

• If selected, applicants will be asked to bring proof of insurance covering their show. We will provide resources for places to purchase insurance.

• Please only submit one project per producing agent/organization.

SPECIAL NOTES

1. Because we are a new festival, our technical capacity will be very bare bones. We will provide performance space, audience seating, a basic stage manager’s booth, box office support, and basic lighting and sound, but please plan a show that has very low technical capacity. Assume you have nothing and create something brilliant. If you have your own venue, please indicate so below.

2. There will be no available storage, so include that idea in your planning.

3. For planning purposes, ideal shows will be between 40 and 90 minutes long. Shows will have a 10 minute load in window and 10 minute load out window before and after each performance.

4. All shows will be required to offer at least one audience-masks-required performance.

5. All venues will have air filters and masks available.
